Tammie and John both grew up in families that were very involved with dogs professionally. John's dad was a professional handler and his mother was a breeder, handler and an AKC conformation judge for many years. Tammie's mother handled both obedience and conformation dogs and has been a professional dog trainer for over forty years. As Tammie and John grew up they became involved in caring for family and client dogs, worked for various kennels and handled numerous dogs. While individually pursuing their professional dog careers they met at various competitive dog shows and later married. After years of hard work both Tammie and John are AKC Registered Handlers and AKC Licensed Junior Showmanship Judges. After joining forces they decided to acquire a kennel and have owned Win-Star since 2001. Tammie and John have made many improvements to the facilities and continue to do so with a remodeling of the front office and grooming facilities scheduled for early this spring. They are dedicated to offering a secure, safe and clean environment for the four legged guests that stay at Win-Star. You won’t find more experienced people or staff to care for your beloved family pet or cherished show or working dog.
